Set in the Gapyeong Valley, Gapyeong Begonia Bird Park brings gardens, glass greenhouses and bird gardens together in one park. Sunlight gives the flower wall, glass reflections and mirrored space a dreamlike feel. The flower wall, glass corridor and bird garden area are all good spots for photos.
The bird park is mainly housed in an indoor greenhouse, where you can observe a variety of birds up close. There are also outdoor gardens and café areas where you can sit down and rest after your walk.
Ms Karyl's firsthand tips
Natural light gives the flower wall and mirrored space in the glass greenhouse a sense of depth. In the bird garden, you can observe brightly colored birds up close. Many areas are indoors, so the weather and seasons have less effect on your visit.
Visit the garden photo area, mirrored space and bird garden together. Allow more time if you enjoy photography; if you are traveling with children, you can focus on birdwatching and interactive experiences.
The park is wheelchair accessible and has parking lots, restrooms and rest areas.
It suits families or couples who enjoy gardens and photography. With many indoor areas, it is easier to plan a visit when the weather is changeable.
