- Free cancellation
- 30 full days or more before departure
- Waiting at the airport
- Free waiting for up to 3 hours
1. Reservation, deposit and final payment
- After the guest confirms the quotation and itinerary, he must pay 20% of the total travel amount as a reservation deposit.
- Once K2 Global Travel receives the deposit and sends a written confirmation via email or messaging software, the reservation is officially established. Prior to this, vehicle, tour guide, accommodation, tickets and restaurant arrangements will not be deemed to have been finalized.
- The remaining 80% of the total tour fee must be paid upon arrival in South Korea using the payment method confirmed in advance by both parties.
- In principle, the balance payment should be paid when the first travel service is started. If airport transfer is the first service, the specific payment collection time and method will be confirmed before departure.
- When the guest fails to pay the balance as agreed, K2 has the right to suspend the service that has not yet started, but shall notify the guest first and give him a reasonable opportunity to pay.
- The quotation currency, payment method and bank information are subject to the final quotation and payment notice issued by K2.
2. Guest cancellation and deposit refund
The cancellation date shall be based on the Korean time when K2 actually receives the written cancellation notice from the guest via email, WhatsApp, WeChat, LINE or KakaoTalk. The daily notification deadline is 23:59 Korean time.
Cancellation 30 full days or more before departure
- The reservation deposit is refundable.
- Bank fees, remittance fees or fees actually charged by the payment platform arising from the refund shall be borne by the customer.
- If the guest has separately confirmed a non-refundable item before payment, the item will be processed according to its special conditions.
For example: If the trip starts on October 31st, K2 must receive the cancellation notice before 23:59 Korean time on October 1st at the latest to fall within the scope of free cancellation.
Cancellation less than 30 days before departure
- The 20% reservation deposit paid is non-refundable.
- This reservation deposit is used to compensate for the itinerary planning, vehicle and guide reservations, accommodation coordination and supplier cancellation costs that have already been carried out.
- K2 will not deduct fees repeatedly for the same loss.
- Unless the guest confirms the special supplier conditions separately before payment, K2 will not charge any cancellation fee in addition to the 20% reservation deposit.
Cancellation or no-show on the day of departure
If the guest cancels on the day of departure, fails to show up at the agreed time, or does not participate in the trip without notifying K2, it will be deemed a temporary cancellation.
- The 20% reservation deposit is non-refundable.
- For services that have been provided or have been confirmed to be used by the guest after arrival, the corresponding fee should be paid.
- Vehicles, tour guides, accommodation, tickets or other actual expenses incurred due to the guest's no-show will be handled in accordance with the special conditions confirmed before payment.
Refund processing
- Refunds will be made to the original payer or to an account confirmed in writing by both parties.
- The actual refund fees charged by banks, remittance institutions or payment platforms are borne by the customer.
- K2 will not charge additional refund administrative fees that are not stated in advance.
- The difference in amount due to exchange rate changes will not be regarded as a fee charged by K2.
3. Hotel, vehicle, ticket and meal reservations
- Generally, you can apply for a refund if your hotel, vehicle, tickets and meal arrangements are canceled 30 full days or more before the departure date.
- Actual refunds still depend on the cancellation conditions of the hotel, vehicle company, ticketing platform, restaurant or other supplier involved.
- If a service has stricter conditions than K2's general terms, such as special hotel rooms, holiday or peak season accommodation, issued tickets that are non-refundable, special restaurant deposits, private venues or special experiences, or vehicles or services specially booked for the group, K2 must clearly explain the non-refundable items, amount and cancellation period before the guest pays, and obtain confirmation from the guest.
- Special non-refundable conditions that are not stated separately before payment should not be added after cancellation.
- If the same fee is already included in the 20% cancellation fee, it will not be deducted again.
4. Modification of itinerary
- Guests can apply for itinerary modification before departure or during the trip. K2 does not charge general administrative fees for itinerary modification.
- All modifications are subject to vehicle, tour guide, accommodation, tickets, restaurant business hours and on-site availability. K2 cannot guarantee that all temporary modifications can be realized.
- Any actual price difference resulting from itinerary changes will be settled by refunding any overpayment or collecting any additional amount due, including differences in fees for tickets, meals, accommodation, vehicles, guides, activities and other suppliers.
- Items that have been ticketed, used, have exceeded the cancellation deadline or the supplier refuses to refund may not be refunded even if the item is deleted by the guest.
- Additional vehicle, guide, parking, road or accommodation costs incurred as a result of the guest's request to increase service hours, change areas or significantly modify the route will be borne by the guest.
- When adjustments are required due to weather, roads, attractions, or safety factors, K2 will try its best to arrange alternatives of similar nature and value.
5. Driver and tour guide service hours and overtime fees
- The daily driving time is usually 8 to 10 hours, and the specific time is subject to the time listed in the final confirmed itinerary; this time includes the time budget for general road traffic jams.
- When the guest exceeds the agreed vehicle usage time due to the guest's initiative to add attractions, extended meals, late gathering, shopping stop or other guest reasons, the overtime fee for the commercial vehicle driver is 30,000 won per hour, and the overtime fee for the bus driver is 50,000 won per hour.
- The normal service hours of the tour guide are subject to the time listed in the final confirmed itinerary; if the agreed service time is exceeded, the tour guide's overtime fee is 20,000 won per hour.
- Overtime fees for drivers and tour guides are calculated separately.
- If the overtime reaches 15 minutes, it will be calculated as 30 minutes, and every 30 minutes will be calculated as a unit thereafter: commercial vehicle drivers will be charged 15,000 won per 30 minutes; bus drivers will be charged 25,000 won per 30 minutes; tour guides will be charged 10,000 won per 30 minutes.
- No overtime fee will be charged to guests for delays caused by K2's own arrangement errors.
6. Airport transfer waiting time
- Airport transfers offer free waiting time of up to 3 hours.
- If the guest has provided correct flight information in advance, the waiting time will in principle be calculated from the actual landing time of the flight, not the original scheduled landing time.
- Free waiting time includes time required for immigration clearance, baggage claim, customs procedures and meeting the driver.
- If a flight is delayed and the guest has notified K2 in advance, or K2 can verify the delay from flight information, the free waiting period starts when the flight actually lands.
- After more than 3 hours, if the driver can continue to wait, the overtime fee for the driver of the corresponding vehicle type will be calculated: 30,000 won per hour for commercial vehicles and 50,000 won per hour for buses. If the timeout reaches 15 minutes, it will be calculated as 30 minutes.
- If the guest does not provide correct flight information, loses contact for a long time after arrival, or fails to show up at the agreed location, K2 will try to contact the guest. Whether the driver can continue to wait depends on subsequent vehicle arrangements.
- If a car needs to be rescheduled due to a missed flight or a temporary change of airport or flight, new transfer fees may be incurred.
7. Written confirmation and terms applicable
If there are special arrangements for individual itineraries, the written confirmation made by both parties regarding the reservation shall prevail. Guests should read and save the final quotation, itinerary confirmation and these terms before paying the reservation fee.
