HIGHLIGHTS

Highlights

Set in a valley at the junction of Chuncheon and Gapyeong, SpeedZone combines a Finnish dry sauna, outdoor wooden-barrel hot baths, and views of mountains and a lake. The sauna has a woody scent and hot steam. Step outside into the cool air, then soak in hot water to enjoy the comfortable contrast between hot and cold.

The outdoor bathing area faces the lake and distant mountains. Sunlight on the water creates a quiet atmosphere, and at dusk the string lights give the scene the unhurried feel of a film. It is also a good setting for photos and relaxation.

K2 TIPS

Ms Karyl's firsthand tips

Firsthand Experience

Wooden sauna cabins sit at the foot of the mountain. After leaving the dry sauna, you can soak in an outdoor wooden barrel overlooking the lake. Alternating between hot and cold lets you feel the contrast between the valley air and the hot steam.

Recommended by Ms Karyl

Alternate between the dry sauna and outdoor wooden-barrel baths, and visit from daytime through dusk to see the lake in daylight and the string lights after dark.

Is it worth the special trip?

It suits couples, friends and travelers looking for a distinctive sauna experience. If you only want a brief stop, check whether the available reservation times fit your plans.
