K2 TIPS

Ms Karyl's firsthand tips

Firsthand Experience

Eunpyeong Hanok Village invites you to walk slowly and look around. Explore the wooden doors, walls and layers of tiled roofs along its lanes. There is no need to rush to the next attraction to find a photo you like. After your walk, take a seat at Irin Iljan. What drew me most was the view outside: a sea of hanok roofs with greenery and mountains beyond. Sitting by the window made me want to linger over my coffee. Our table held drinks, cake and a few small treats, with the hanok village just outside. Put the desserts in the foreground and the tiled roofs behind them for a lovely photo without elaborate styling.

Recommended by Ms Karyl

The window view of the hanok roofs was a highlight of our photos. Try a wide view with the mountains, then a close-up of your drinks and desserts for two different perspectives.

Is it worth the special trip?

If you enjoy photography and a slower pace, combine a hanok village walk with a cafe break, leaving time to sit and enjoy the view.

Opening arrangements vary by floor. The 1인1상 space on the 4th and 5th floors is a separate dessert and brunch venue. Basic information lists hours for the cafe area on the 1st and 2nd floors; check the venue's notices for floor access and temporary changes.
